Session Five: Journey Through the Archetypes

I am excited to invite you into our final session for this course. I think this is the one that impacted me the most on a personal level. Eivind has created — or perhaps it is closer to “channeled” — an amazing map of the progression of a man into full masculinity.

No, I’m not talking about the “hero’s journey” here. While it draws on Jungian or Campbellian themes, it lands as wholly original. Again and again I get the feeling — Yes, I know what you are talking about. Call to Adventure. Reclaiming Lost Innocence. The Mapmaker of the East. The Abyss. The Demon’s Feast. The Beauty Path. Oh my goodness, this is rich material.

Our conversation was amazing. New things came out of it for both Eivind and myself, and I am confident something new will come from it for you too.

About Eivind

Eivind’s journey of Becoming is an unlikely one. A true skeptic and pragmatist at heart, he never dreamed growing up that he would become an initiator of men. To some, Eivind is best known as the founder of Masculinity-Movies.com, which grew out of his own confusion about what it meant to be a man.
