Session 4: “Ask Me Anything” Crowdcast

Aired: Monday, September 9 at 8:00 p.m. EST

On this webinar, Charles gathered live with course participants to share stories and respond to a variety of questions. In preparation, Charles and his team reviewed many stories submitted by the audience. Several were selected for the webinar, and others were collected for you to read. The session recording and collected stories are both available below along with a link the Crowdcast version, audio files and transcript. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and everyone in the course. We appreciate your wonderful contributions and presence on this journey!

Reflection & Invitation

Following are observations and notes crafted from the end section of the Crowdcast, which is a bit static-y. I’ve edited and added to the observations here for clarity, to provide an invitation for the week:

What we’re really seeking isn’t the philosophical answers to the questions. Someone pointed out in the comments section of YouTube, “This is the most loving corner of the internet.” And I’m feeling that vibe here as well. I hope that what I’ve shared — along with others who have come on, who’ve sent their questions and shared their stories….I hope that you’re receiving some of this love vibration that has brought us all together and that answers us on a much deeper level that any philosophy could. I feel really grateful for it.

Even the questions: they were all generously asked, respectful, not assuming anything…. All the questions I saw, dozens of them, if somebody was tweaked or something, they didn’t translate it onto blame. For instance Katie’s question just now could have easily been framed as an accusation, but it was very much in the place of curiosity and, “Wow, I’m dealing with these contradictions.” People are really taking ownership and expressing themselves in a way that generates a very loving field.

As the mediation or assignment for the week, I want to invite everyone to pick up on that. Another way is possible. And I hope that the vibration of our interaction….we have over 2000 people on this course now, each one of them contributing something to the feeling and field of our collective. And I think it’s really extraordinary and I want to acknowledge everybody who has contributed to that and thank them for bringing that in.

Optional NAAS Subscription

This course has run as a DIY course, and you are welcome to do it that way. However, for many people it is more powerful to work the material with a group. My business partner and former wife Patsy and I host a network community called A New and Ancient Story (short for NAAS). It is an online network dedicated to reverence in communication. If you would like to participate in it in conjunction with this course, go to the community landing page and read the introduction and posting guidelines. If you feel resonant, you can join through additional subscription. Once you are a member, you will find archives of discussions on course forums on the left menu as well as participating in many features NAAS offers
