Conversations with Orland Bishop
Course Two: Love Made Visible

Course Structure
Welcome to the second course drawn from my conversation with Orland Bishop. I am happy to share his wisdom, so necessary in troubled times.
Orland is a profound mystic whose draws on deep knowledge and training in West African, South African and European Hermetic traditions. He is not always easy to understand. To help with this, I’ve written study notes, meditation themes, and other suggestions in the study guide for each session.
Each of the sessions comprises 30-45 minutes of our conversation. The topics we cover are far-reaching and Orland’s communication is profound. Therefore, I recommend listening to each session at least twice. The first time, just pay attention and let your subconscious mind choose what to understand and what to skip over, trusting that his voice carries as much information as his words, or even more. The second time, listen more actively, using the pause button to allow time to contemplate something particularly arresting or baffling. Some people listen dozens of times. My parts probably don’t merit such deep study, but I hope they do help to frame and interpret Orland’s remarks.
Optional NAAS Subscription
This course has run as a DIY course, and you are welcome to do it that way. However, for many people it is more powerful to work the material with a group. My business partner and former wife Patsy and I host a network community called A New and Ancient Story (short for NAAS). It is an online network dedicated to reverence in communication. If you would like to participate in it in conjunction with this course, go to the community landing page and read the introduction and posting guidelines. If you feel resonant, you can join through additional subscription. Once you are a member, you will find archives of discussions on course forums on the left menu as well as participating in many features NAAS offers
Getting Started
You can find each unit of the course on the left tabs at the top of this page. I suggest navigating the course in the following way:
- Give at least two or three days to digest each unit in turn, giving it multiple views/listens.
- Read the study guide for each unit after your first listen, not before.
- Practice the meditation or other assignment at the end of each study guide, and listen to my associated guided meditation for each unit.
- Discuss each unit on the dedicated forum.
